Privacy Policy

Japan Trip Planners may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, account details, contact messages, purchases, affiliate application information, payout preferences, saved places, private map pins, and itinerary content.

We also receive limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as request information, device or browser details, security verification results, and information produced when you use website features. Browser storage may remember choices such as your theme, language, cart, consent settings, and short-lived account handoffs.

Information may be used to operate and secure the website, authenticate accounts, provide digital products, process purchases, manage memberships, save planning content, administer the affiliate program, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, improve tools, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

Creating an account does not automatically subscribe you to marketing email. Choosing to receive travel emails subscribes you to newsletters and new-blog alerts. You can turn either group on or off independently through Account Details or the preference controls in a Resend email. Newsletters may include site updates, offers, and itinerary reminders; blog alerts announce newly published articles. Important account, purchase, and security emails are separate from these optional preferences. If you purchase a guide as a guest, we keep the checkout email and payment references to email your access link and securely match the purchase to your verified account. Guest purchases do not subscribe you to marketing.

Account verification, password reset, purchase, security, and other service messages may still be sent when needed to provide an account or transaction you requested.

Supabase supports authentication, database records, and file storage. Stripe processes checkout, billing, and payouts, and Japan Trip Planners does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes. Resend delivers account and optional marketing email. Vercel hosts the website and, when permitted, provides privacy-focused Web Analytics and Speed Insights page-performance measurements. When analytics permission is granted, Google Analytics helps measure traffic, referrals, engagement, devices, and page performance. Cloudflare Turnstile helps identify abusive or automated form activity.

When advertising is enabled and you permit advertising storage, Google AdSense may process device, browsing, advertising, and consent information to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure advertisements according to the choices available in your region. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices while acting in the roles applicable to their services.

Optional analytics are disabled until you grant analytics permission. Vercel Web Analytics provides aggregated website measurements without third-party analytics cookies. Vercel Speed Insights measures page loading and responsiveness; account, administration, authentication, checkout, and shared-itinerary pages are excluded from its performance reports. Google Analytics may use first-party analytics cookies and process page paths, referral information, approximate location, device or browser information, and engagement measurements. These integrations are configured to omit query values and shared-itinerary tokens from recorded page addresses.

Optional advertising is disabled until you grant advertising permission. Affiliate attribution is controlled separately. If you follow an approved affiliate referral link and grant affiliate attribution permission, a first-party cookie may remember the referral for up to 90 days. Promotion codes you enter directly may still be applied and credited to an assigned creator without relying on that cookie.

The privacy panel lets you accept, reject, or customize optional analytics and advertising. Necessary storage remains available because it supports authentication, security, purchases, consent records, and features you request. You can reopen the panel from the Privacy choices button in the footer and withdraw optional permission at any time.

Withdrawing a permission stops the related optional activity. Withdrawing affiliate attribution permission also removes the site-controlled referral cookie. It does not automatically erase information already processed for a lawful purpose. You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible personal information through the Contact page, subject to legal, security, accounting, and operational requirements.

Information is retained only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, and account administration. Retention periods vary by the type of account, transaction, planning content, communication, or service-provider record.

Japan Trip Planners uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so protect your account credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Links may lead to booking partners, affiliate partners, social networks, or other external websites. Those services control their own privacy, cookie, and account practices.

This policy may be updated as services, legal requirements, or data practices change. Material updates will be identified by a revised effective date.
